I want you to understand that this is an actual photo I took… of an actual place. Hainan. China’s Hawaii. I was there a week and I still find myself homesick for it. It’s so beautiful that I look at it and kiiiind of question how it even exists.
Mm. This was the week I knew I needed to live by a beach, occasionally kissing my (imaginary) hubs in the sand and helping my (someday) chubby toddler take their first steps in the waves. The inhale and exhale of the ocean. The sky. The way the water moves. Even the creepy man on that sailboat in the distance, who kept coming in to see if I wanted to go for a ride. :/ (But just what did he mean by that?) It’s all something I love.
Let’s hear it for not wearing pants or showering, eh? People were soooo much more down with that in jungle-magic Hainan than they seem to be in suburban Utah. I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY, GUYS.
I just want to be by an ocean right now, listening to people speak another language. And also never take or study for a test again.
In closing, this quote.
Yessssssss. Forever and ever amen.
