Friendships that always exist, over distance, over lack-of-contact, over time. They exist and they go on, without having to be constantly fed or constantly acknowledged. Because they are that strong.
I wrote in my journal once, “You know when your soul just recognizes someone else’s soul? Watch for it, future kid. It’s kind of incredible. You’ll meet someone and a piece of your soul will rise in recognition, or you’ll reconnect with someone you’ve known forever, and as you finally SEE them, some part of your soul will go skipping, practically singing, ‘Yes. YES! This, is how it should be.'”
I like these people, these souls who know my soul. People I know without a doubt that I KNEW before. And I am lucky to have so many of those people, all UP in my life. They just fit like puzzle pieces, no matter how near or far they are.
I like that. And you. Hi.
